After joining the firm in 2016 she began the firm’s equine law practice. She blends her legal knowledge with over 20 years of equestrian experience. Monica began riding horses at the age of 4 and successfully competed in both English and Western disciplines. She also worked as a thoroughbred race horse exercise rider and as an equine surgical assistant. Her equine knowledge spans across many breeds and riding disciplines, giving her a unique understanding of the legal issues in the equine world and how to avoid them. Her equine law practice focuses on the transactional side of the field by helping horse owners, trainers and all people involved in the equestrian world avoid legal issues. This includes preparing contracts for the sale and purchase of horses, drafting boarding contracts to protect both stable owners and horse owners, horse leases, breeding contracts and much more.
Monica attended Widener University School of Law, where she graduated in 2015. During law school she was active in student government and served as the Academic Vice President to the Student Bar Association. In 2015, shortly after graduation, Monica was admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Bar. She continues her legal education with annual attendance at the National Equine Law Conference in Lexington, Kentucky.
Monica’s main office is located in Camp Hill, PA, but she is also available for in-home and in-stable appointments throughout the state.
Monica is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Cumberland County Bar Association and the Dauphin County Bar Association. She is also a member of the United States Equestrian Federation, the United States Dressage Federation and the Pennsylvania Horse Council.
